The Four Seasons is in Park Lane, London. It is a premier luxury hotel whose discriminating customers expect their accommodation to be quiet and in tip-top condition.
It’s crucial the guests of such a prestigious hotel feel safe and secure, and have all the facilities working perfectly. To maintain these high standards, the hotel decided to equip their security and maintenance teams with the most advanced radio equipment available. Therefore, they asked Brentwood to install a cutting-edge, two-way radio system that would reliably cover all 11 floors of the hotel.

After testing both analogue and digital radios on every level, we decided to use Motorola DP3600 digital radios, with a repeater and antennae, to achieve full coverage throughout the multi-storey building.
To boost the signals effectively, our skilled engineers positioned the repeater centrally (on the 4th floor). They strategically placed several antennas on different floors, and connected them to the repeater, via a common cable. They concealed this in the vertical ‘riser’ of the hotel.

Within this configuration, the DP3600s provide crystal-clear reception across every floor. These handheld radios enhance the audio so workers can even use them during celebrations. What’s more, users have the ability to make and receive calls at the touch of a button – and when voice is not possible – they can generate text messages on its keypad.
Managers can use the DP3600’s display to select individuals they want to talk to privately. Or, they can simply opt to communicate with the whole group. Whenever workers need assistance, they are able to initiate an alarm by pressing the ‘Emergency’ button. Senior staff are able to monitor the safety status of ‘lone workers’ while they carry out their duties away from the main group.
The Four Season’s management were very impressed by the radio system’s dependable coverage throughout the complexity of the building. The multitude of functions offered by the digital radios make it a lot easier for the hotel to deliver its renowned hospitality.
