Brentwood recently supplied 40 Motorola GP340 radios for the charity rock concert hosted by Prince William at Kensington Palace.
Organised by the impresario Harvey Goldsmith, the performance was part of the Winter Whites Gala. This special occasion was in aid of Centrepoint – a youth homeless organisation of which the Duke of Cambridge is patron.
Along with the two way analogue radios, we provided earpieces and heavy-duty headsets to help the organisers set up and run the event. The management employed an efficient team of stewards and security personnel to maintain the safety and well being of the exuberant crowd of around 600-strong. The guest stars who performed in the Royal Gardens included pop princess Taylor Swift, Jon Bon Jovi and James Blunt.
Although lightweight, the Motorola GP340 is user-friendly, robust and tough. In fact, the industry considers the radio the workhorse of the radio world. Tried-and-tested over many years, its hard-working formula performs dependably in harsh environments and all weathers.
For instance, the radio’s long battery life means workers can remain on duty for long periods without recharging. During arduous shifts, team members can make and receive calls quickly and easily by means of the accessible chunky buttons. They also have the option to address the whole team; or call up individuals by simply switching channels.
The advanced audio technology offers workers crisp, clear and strong audio. Which means stewards and security can confidently use their GP340s whilst exposed to ear-splitting decibel levels. This superior clarity (enhanced with headsets) enables them to catch vital messages, so they can respond at once to any emergencies. Those attending to important guests, who need make calls quietly, also know that the Control Room will hear every word.
Busy radio users can carry the lightweight GP340 all day long without noticing it’s there. And when they’re under extra pressure, they can employ the hands-free facility with a headset accessory.
