The construction of the giant Royal Docks in the mid-19th century to the south of Canning Town and Beckton set London up to be the world’s most significant port for another century. Now, the area is undergoing a wave of redevelopment, with billions of pounds of investment into new infrastructure, new businesses, new commercial and residential accommodation.
At the eastern extreme of the docks, out beyond the City of London airport, the strip of the north bank known as Gallions Point has become home to a major residential development. Featuring one, two and three bedroom waterside apartments, the stylish, urbane structure provides modern living space in the capital’s newest neighbourhood.
To support day-to-day running of the complex, Brentwood supplied a fleet of Icom IC-F2000T two way radios. From a manufacturer famed for the reliability and robust performance of its radios, the IC-F2000T is a full keypad and display UHF model, making it ideal for wireless communication in built up areas. Combining classic push-to-talk two way radio functionality with the ability to dial in contact IDs and pre-set channels for different purposes, the IC-F2000T is both simple to use and thoroughly modern in its controls. It is a highly compact handset, making it easy to carry on site and use in one hand.
