Located towards the western end of London’s premier shopping street, Park House is a forward-thinking mixed use development described during construction as the biggest project to hit Oxford Street in 40 years. Designed by Apt (formerly Robin Partington & Partners) the development offers student accommodation, office space and, of course, retail outlets. Park House is extremely well connected, with Marble Arch underground and Hyde Park immediately to the west, and salubrious Mayfair to the south-east.
A real giant of a building, Park House takes up an entire 150m-long block along Oxford Street and rises to seven storeys in height, with a distinctive curved back profile. With class and quality integral to everything from its luxury workspaces to exclusive apartments, efficiency and reliability is key to the running of the building. That, in turn, relies on effective communications.
Brentwood was contracted to supply a two way radio solution for FM personnel and security staff throughout the building. We recommended the Motorola DP2400e dual mode digital analogue handset, a revamped version of an earlier model which offers premium audio quality, robust construction and enhanced safety protocols. We also installed Motorola DR3000 repeaters throughout the building, which serve to boost signal coverage and therefore ensure personnel can communicate wherever they happen to be.
