License free radios are perfect for holidays, road trips and outdoor excursions where your mobile phone just wouldn’t do the job. With a license free radio like the Motorola TLKR T92 H2O, you can communicate over campsites, ski resorts and beaches, or keep in touch while walking and hiking, without worrying about your mobile signal.
Emergency features, simple controls and low cost ensure the Motorola TLKR T92 H²O is a fun-packed radio that the whole family can use. What’s more, this is a radio that copes effortlessly with the great British weather.
Waterproof and Durable
The Motorola TLKR T92 H²O is specifically designed for use around water, which makes it ideal for boat trips and sports, and any situation where you’re likely to be rained on. The units are IP67 rated, which means each radio could be dunked into water for up to 30 minutes and survive. Each radio is actually designed to float, too, so providing you fit the rechargeable battery, your radio will be easy to retrieve from a pool, or a puddle.
The radios have a built in LED torch on the base with the option of a white or red beam. Use the white beam in your tent as a reading light, or flick over to the red setting to avoid glare in pitch black conditions. The light will automatically switch on if the unit comes into contact with water, making it easy to locate and retrieve if it accidentally gets a dunk in a stream.
From the antenna to the case, the Motorola TLKR T92 H²O is designed for durability, and has a non-slip finish that makes it easy to hold. The bright yellow finish ensures your radio will be easy to locate at the bottom of your rucksack.
Power and Charging
The Motorola TLKR T92 H²O pack comes with two radios and two rechargeable batteries, although the radio can also be used with regular AAs. Remember: it may not float in water if you choose not to use the rechargeable battery provided.
In ideal conditions, the battery in each radio will operate for 16 hours. Charging is easy, using the supplied micro USB cable. If you need to charge in different locations, you aren’t trapped in to buying expensive proprietary cables; just pick up a few spare micro USBs.
The pack also includes a car charger to keep your rechargeable battery topped up on the go, making the radios ideal for use in a road convoy. When you’re done, zip them up in their custom-designed soft case.
Inexpensive, Flexible and Fun
This leisure radios use the PMR446 frequency, which anyone can use without the need for a license. As soon as you receive the radios, charge them up, and they’re ready to go. You can even mix and match with other radios that use the same 446 MHz frequency, without the need to change any settings or reprogram the radios.
With a hands free mode, a vibration alert, channel monitoring and scanning, these radios offer superb value for money and great functionality. The belt clip even has a whistle to attract attention in emergencies. Motorola really has thought of everything when it designed the TLKR T92 H²O.
