Brentwood Communications has been honoured to supply global charity Unicef with two way radios for their star studded Halloween Ball, for several years.
Launched in 2013, the event has raised over £4 million to date to support critical funding for children.
Unicef work to protect children in danger in over 190 countries, particularly those facing war or poverty. With David Beckham and Orlando Bloom among the charities ambassadors, and performances from Robbie Williams and Rita Ora lined up, the 2018 Halloween Ball promised to be one to remember.
Brentwood’s Contribution
The Ball, which took part in a secret location on the 30th October, relies on airtight security and communication between staff. When Brentwood was asked to provide radios, we knew it was vital that the equipment was up to the challenge of covering the whole event.
Brentwood Communications has supplied many notable charity events previously, including the Duke of Edinburgh awards at Buckingham Palace. We were able to draw on this experience to ensure the ball experienced seamless communication, inside and around the venue.
Motorola GP644 radios were provided to Unicef. A predecessor of the Motorola DP2400e radio, the GP is an efficient, compact model, perfect for use during events due to its lightweight structure. The radio is compatible with a large range of high quality accessories, such as the D-Shape and Acoustic Tube earpieces, and Leather Carry Cases that Unicef opted for. Earpieces are a great option for those required to operate discreetly and carry cases allow hands to be kept free.
