Brentwood Communications Ltd Sales are recruiting for a Hire Account Manager to join our highly successful Sales team. You will be articulate and confident when speaking to customers, have excellent organisational skills, and an exceptional eye for detail. You will be provided with on-going training and encouraged to take up a professional qualification in a subject of your choosing to ensure you personally stay ahead of the game.

Hours: 8am-5pm, Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive engagement and regular contact with all Long Term Hire Customers with view to retain and/or extend Hire period, upsell and partner on new projects
  • Qualification of all new Hire enquiries together with follow up of all quotes within 24 hours. Upsell accessories and other equipment
  • Respond to all Hire enquiries within 15 minutes
  • Ensure covering POs are secured for all Hire contracts for the duration of the Hire and any subsequent extension
  • Ongoing dialogue with Hire Customers relating to upcoming collections. Liaison with Hire Logistics to organise collections as appropriate
  • Responsible for monthly invoice run ensuring all details are correct; e.g. dates, amounts, delivery charges.
  • Exchanges and off-hires, liaising with Hire Logistics
  • Oversight of loan radios and collection thereof
  • CRM management ensuring all Customer details, notes and information is correct and up to date
  • Maintain and update pricing guide for hire Customers including bespoke pricing for key Customers.
  • Continually ensuring you are aware of cross hire pricing.
  • Spot opportunities to convert Hire contracts/enquiries to Sales
  • Periodically review Hire T&C’s and Hire agreements
  • Keeping accurate records of Hire stock and attending stock take as and when necessary

Skills and experience:

  • Sales capable, able to build trust and effectively determine Customer needs
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes.
  • Must have an excellent eye for detail, organised and able to prioritise
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Exceptional written, verbal and phone skills.
  • Outgoing, dynamic personality with a ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Outgoing, friendly personality who is able to develop strong business relationships.
  • Self-motivation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious individual to join a market leading communications organisation as a Hire Assistant.

This hands-on role includes some administration and is vital to the hire process within Brentwood Communications Ltd.

With over 40 years in the industry, the company supplies bespoke two way radio design solutions across the UK and worldwide. The role sits within a busy hire department as an essential role to ensure all equipment is up to standard and on/off hired correctly.

The ideal candidate will need to have previous experience in stock take or in a stock control position.

Although full training will be provided, we are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Be organised, and help to organise other colleagues with tasks

RF Radio Systems Engineer

Brentwood Communications Ltd are actively looking to recruit an RF Radio Systems Engineer to join our growing team based at our Head Quarters in East Hanningfield, Chelmsford, Essex.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Installation of Cable, running in and outside of buildings.
  • Erecting Antennas and Poles in and outside buildings.
  • Installing Antennas and Radio equipment inside vehicles.
  • Working alongside the Technical team in completing site surveys.
  • Working closely with the Sales team providing site survey reports.
  • Ensure all work completed is in line with quality procedures and company standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Someone who is keen to start a career in Communications, with great potential for personal & professional growth.
  • Experience preferred but not necessarily  required.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Candidate must be okay with working at heights.
  • Minimum 5 GCSE’s grade A-C.
  • Must have a driving licence.
  • Must be a good English Speaker.
  • Must be IT literate.

Assistant Management Accountant

Due to continued growth within Brentwood Communications Ltd, we are now actively looking to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant to join our growing finance team based at our Head Quarters in East Hanningfield, Chelmsford, Essex.

Hours: 9-5 Monday to Friday

Role Purpose: To assist the Finance Manager prepare financial statements and accounts, budgeting, managing ledgers, processing invoices and preparing VAT returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the process of monthly group management accounts.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Book-keeping and reconciliation of the purchase ledger accounts.
  • Investigating and dealing with any purchase ledger discrepancies ensure all product costings are correct.
  • Assisting in daily banking & month-end reconciliations for multicurrency bank accounts.
  • Experience with handling multicurrency transactions.
  • Assist with Interco transactions & charges.
  • Assist with month-end accruals, prepayments & FAR process and maintain up-to-date schedules.
  • Ensure monthly processing deadlines are met as required.
  • Assisting with the preparation and filing of VAT returns, EC Sales & Intrasat.
  • Weekly cash forecasting of outgoing payments.
  • To meet all internal Company standards and internal/external audit requirements.
  • Manage time to achieve the key performance indicators for the role.
  • Appraise own performance and contribute towards own development of the knowledge & skills required to achieve results.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven track record of accurate processing.
  • Excellent numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Working towards AAT qualification or QBE.
  • Self-starter with excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of double entry booking and debits & credits.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn and progress.
  • Proactive and extremely organised work ethic.
  • Experienced with Sage accounting software.
