With over 25 years of experience in the two way radio industry, James is responsible for overseeing and steering the long term growth of the organisation. Since taking the position of Managing Director, Brentwood Communications has transformed into a multi million pound company. James has a passion for the Brentwood team and values, and is focused on company growth and maintaining the role of the leading communications organisation. When he’s not working, James loves learning new skills and spending time with his wife and three children.
John has been working at Brentwood Communications for close to 10 years and has 15 years of experience in the radio industry. His role is to oversee the running of day to day operations in the company. Coming from a sales background, John naturally gravitated towards marketing over time, and in 2014 achieved his chartered marketeer status, and is currently studying his post graduate qualification. John is planning to travel to the Hidden Kingdom next year to climb the Himalayan mountains.

What are the values that drive you? Unrivalled work ethic.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Football and boxing.
What is something people in the telecommunications industry have to deal with that you want to fix? A better understanding of how OFCOM process our customer’s radio licenses, and passing this information onto our customers.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position? I come from a customer service background. Previously, I worked for a Global shipping company based in Chelmsford. This has helped me with my strong belief to achieve the best outcome for all of our customers.
What do you like about working at Brentwood? My work colleagues, we have such a good team within Brentwood Communications.
What are your top 3 favourite books? 1984, Life of Pi and Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Football – watching and playing, and going to see live music.
What are the values that drive you? Once you stop learning, you start dying.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? I’m a big Arsenal Fan, I love most sports and I love to ski. I’m also a Michelin star chef…just without the stars or the restaurant.
What are your top 3 favourite films? The Beach, Sing street and Step Brothers.
What is your favourite quote? From the film the Beach ” I still believe in paradise. But now at least I know it’s not some place you can look for, ’cause it’s not where you go. It’s how you feel for a moment in your life when you’re a part of something, and if you find that moment… it lasts forever…”
What are your top 3 favourite films? The Alchemist, Lord of the Rings and Toy Story.
What are the values that drive you? Don’t take life so seriously and just do whatever makes you happy.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Either watching football on TV or attending my local sides games Grays Athletic, essentially anything football related!

What are your top 3 favourite films? Tough question, I’d have to go with a selection… Pirates of the Caribbean, Toy Story and Iron man.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position? I have been working with Brentwood Communications for nearly 7 years, I started my employment in the Service Department, moved into the Hire Department as a Hire Co-Ordinator, then moved onto the Hire Desk. I eventually moved into the Sales Department as a Sales Administrator then progressed onto Sales & Hire Team Leader before finding myself now working as the Purchasing Manager (currently working towards my MCIPS degree) . There isn’t many departments in the company that I haven’t worked in!
What do you like about working at Brentwood? There’s a new challenge every day!
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Spending time with my Siberian Husky, Balto, playing video games (bit of a nerd), going to my local with mates (enjoying a pint or two) and travelling the world (slowly ticking off as many places as I can).
What are your top 3 favourite films? My top 3 films are, Goodfellas, American Gangster & Law Abiding Citizen
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working? Socialising and being as active as possible.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position? I have been working with Brentwood Communications for nearly 5 years, I started my employment in the Goods Out Department, then progressed onto the Service Department, even sometimes delving into the Hire Department. After a year and half, a vacancy became available in the Sales Department, which took my interest so I went for it. I am now currently the Senior Account Manager, working with new and existing customers and have been for the last two years.
What are your credentials/past experience, for working in your position? I have worked in the radio industry for 14 years. I started off as a driver and hire assistant, then progressed to Hire department Manager. I am now logistics manager.
What do you like about working at Brentwood? Brentwood has given me the opportunity to help me progress and further my career.
