Leadership Team

James Miller

James Miller

Managing Director

With over 25 years of experience in the two way radio industry, James is responsible for overseeing and steering the long term growth of the organisation. Since taking the position of Managing Director, Brentwood Communications has transformed into a multi million pound company. James has a passion for the Brentwood team and values, and is focused on company growth and maintaining the role of the leading communications organisation. When he’s not working, James loves learning new skills and spending time with his wife and three children.

John Phillips

John Phillips

Operations Director

John has been working at Brentwood Communications for close to 10 years and has 15 years of experience in the radio industry. His role is to oversee the running of day to day operations in the company. Coming from a sales background, John naturally gravitated towards marketing over time, and in 2014 achieved his chartered marketeer status, and is currently studying his post graduate qualification. John is planning to travel to the Hidden Kingdom next year to climb the Himalayan mountains.

Tracy Harbord

Tracy Harbord

Finance Manager

Tracy has over 20 years’ experience in business finance.  She has worked in various roles moving up the career ladder from a purchase ledger clerk to group finance manager roles in several global businesses within the manufacturing and information technology industries, whilst completing her accountancy studies. Tracy is career driven and enjoys managing and developing the finance function.

Outside of work Tracy enjoys spending time with her family and friends.  She also likes travelling and swimming.

Paul Hayward

Paul Hayward

Logistics Manager

Paul has worked in the radio industry for 15 years, starting off as a driver and hire assistant, before progressing to a Hire Department Manager followed by an Operations Manager. He is now Brentwood’s Logistics Manager and oversees the day to day running of the engineers as well as the hire, service and goods in departments.

When not working, Paul enjoys attending football matches and spending time with his family.

Dean Sutton

Dean Sutton

Sales Manager

Dean has over 20 years’ experience working in sales and distribution for some of the largest Global Asset Management and Financial Services firms. He brings a wealth of customer experience and knowledge to the business with his passion for the customer experience. Dean is focused on leading the distribution team to reach its growth targets, ensuring that our clients receive a best in class service.

When not working Dean loves spending time with his wife and daughters and enjoys a good game of rugby (alas watching not playing anymore) accompanied with the odd beverage.

Chris Swanborough

Chris Swanborough

Purchasing Manager

Chris has been working at Brentwood Communications for 8 years, he started his employment in the Service Department before moving into the Hire Department as a Hire Co-Ordinator. From here, Chris naturally gravitated towards the Hire Desk. Chris eventually moved into the Sales Department where after a couple of years he progressed onto Sales & Hire Team Leader, Chris can now be found managing the Purchasing Department and is currently working towards his MCIPS degree.

Chris loves to travel and is also planning to complete his first Iron Man in the coming year.

Alex Wright

Alex Wright

HR Manager

Alex has worked at Brentwood Communications for the last year in her role as HR Manager, where she looks after the company’s recruitment and employee relations. She has over ten years’ HR experience gained from working within a diverse range of industries including security, manufacturing, local government and training. She is looking to start studying for a Level 7 CIPD Diploma in HR Management in 2021.

Alex enjoys spending time with her four sons aged 12-21, who keep her extremely busy at home. When she gets a moment to herself Alex enjoys playing the violin and reading a good book.

Anna-Marie Barton

Anna-Marie Barton

Business Development Manager

Anna-Marie has excellent commercial awareness having worked within a diverse and wide range of industries, including large Financial Institutions, the Oil Industry, Retail and Natural Health. She takes pride in providing her clients with excellent customer service by being responsive to their intricate business needs and going the extra mile to establish and build long term trust.

Whilst not working she enjoys paddle boarding with her husband and two children, long dog walks, yoga and travel.
