Part of the PD7 Series, the Hytera PD705 is a professional digital handheld radio that combines outstanding performance with flexibility and reliability. A popular all-rounder, the Hytera PD705 offers a vast array of functionality and remarkable build quality, making it an excellent choice of two way radio for harsh environments.

With an IP67 rating, the PD705 is entirely resistant to dust and will continue working even after being fully submerged in water. It is also compliant with MIL-STD-810 military device standards for durability against impact, shock, temperature extremes and more.

As well as being built to perform in tough environments, the PD705 supports worker safety with a range of alert features. This includes an emergency button, which raises an alarm with priority to interrupt other calls and also identifies the ID of the person issuing the alarm. Lone Worker remote monitoring uses a timer in the radio to measure inactivity and provide colleagues operating alone in difficult circumstances with a degree of protection. If the timer expires, a warning is issued, and if there is no response to that, an alarm is triggered.

On the optional PD705G upgrade, a Man Down feature which issues automatic alarms if in-built accelerometer in the handset detects sudden and unexpected movements like falls. This version also features GPS location tracking, helping colleagues pinpoint the source of an alarm and respond even faster.

The PD705 features versatile voice call options, including individual, group and broadcast calls. It can operate in either digital and analogue mode simultaneously, making it an ideal migration radio for upgrading legacy fleets. It can also use an extended range of UHF or VHF frequencies, with a customised VHF antenna that provides extended range for outdoor use.

Built to the DMR standard, you can connect the PD705 to two-way radio system data services to improve your experience and enable you to be responsive in all situations. This includes digital trunking, with support for Hytera’s patented pseudo trunking and XPT technologies. Pseudo trunking shares call slots within channels to increase capacity, while XPT dynamically assigns available frequency resources to increase the number of calls that can happen at once.

Other extra features include Bluetooth, which you can use to connect to wireless accessories such as headsets with microphone and PTT for a hands-free experience. The PD785G also supports voice-activated VOX operation.

The 2000mAh li-ion battery that comes with the handset as standard provides operation of 14 hours in digital mode.  All PD7 Series radios require an Ofcom radio licence to operate.
