More information

The Hytera PD705 is a high performance digital two way radio which combines all the benefits of the latest audio, data and trunking technology with the flexibility to connect to legacy analogue systems.

Rugged in build and neat in its design, this non-display handset delivers all the straightforward intuitive usability of classic two way radio combined with cutting edge quality and feature sets.

Versatility is one of the great strengths of Hytera’s PD7 range and the PD705 demonstrates this with the number of operating standards it is able to work on. It can switch between analogue and digital signals automatically and seamlessly while in use, meaning you can have older analogue handsets and the latest digital units communicating together.

In addition, the PD705 provides both analogue and digital trunking options which can be used to increase channel capacity and scale up your two way radio system as you grow. In digital mode, it also supports 2-slot TDMA, a special technique which means a single voice slot can be used to carry two conversations, doubling the channel capacity.

Superior audio quality is supplemented with a versatile range of call options. As well as the standard whole network ‘all call’ function, users can create and assign call groups to different channels, or even look up different user IDs and make private calls. When used as part of a network with display handsets, text messages can be programmed in and sent with a single push of a button to speed up the relaying of routine messages.

The PD705’s data capabilities mean that a wide range of supplementary features can installed as required – a bit like downloading an app to your smartphone. One of Hytera’s advanced data services is the ability to link multiple two way radio networks together using IP broadband, and the PD705 offers automatic ‘roaming’, switching connection between those networks as you move around between them.

Built for use in industrial settings, the Hytera PD705 benefits from a robust, durable design. It carries an IP67 rating for resistance to dust ingress and water damage and can withstand being fully submerged in up to one metre or water for 30 minutes. It also carries a range of safety features which provide peace of mind and reassurance in potentially hazardous environments. The one-touch emergency button makes raising an alarm instantaneous, while Lone Worker monitoring ensures colleagues can keep tabs on each other when they are working in different parts of a complex.
