The Lugra Evoke 446 is a licence-free analogue two way radio, delivering the ultimate in affordability and convenience with business-class performance.
An ideal entry-level two way radio handset, the Evoke 446 is reliable, versatile, durable and simple to use. The straightforward control system, which includes programmable buttons for pre-setting one-touch access to preferred functions, makes the Evoke 446 suitable for all levels of experience. As an unlicensed radio, it is also ready to use straight out of the box.
Unlicensed two way radios operate on the 446 MHz frequency band, which is set aside by Ofcom for free public use. Not having to buy a license to access the airwaves simplifies the process of buying and getting started with two way radio and cuts out a significant cost, making an already affordable model even better value.
The Evoke 446 is able to operate on VHF and UHF frequency bands, which makes it a versatile option for use both indoors and outdoors. With a range of up to 3km, it is popular with outdoors events organisers, with security and maintenance personnel on campuses, retail parks and industrial estates, as well as in warehouses and factories.
Wherever the Evoke 446 is deployed, it provides reliable performance and consistent sound quality. A 1.5W speaker with a Quiet Talk (QT) feature that filters out interference on the channel in use ensures optimum audio clarity even in environments where there are high levels of background noise. With up to 20 hours’ worth of battery life on a single charge in energy saving mode, there is never any concern about losing power at just the wrong time during long shifts, or having to pause to recharge.
The Evoke 446 handset is built to be both unobtrusive to carry and hard-wearing in a variety of environments. It weighs less than 220g and has a slim, compact profile, meaning you barely notice you are carrying it when clipped to a belt or put in your pocket. Yet despite its size, the Evoke 446 is built to last. An IP54 water and dust ingress protection rating means that there is no danger using it outside in the rain, and it will also withstand wear and tear associated with dusty atmospheres, too.
Further examples of how the Evoke 446 has been designed with the needs of workers in mind include VOX mode, a voice activation setting which allows you to respond to calls without pressing the push-to-talk mode when you are busy with a task.
