Hire Department Assistant

Role Purpose: Ensure the day to day running of the Hire Department runs correctly and efficiently

This role is key to our hire department at Brentwood Communications, ensuring that our hire department of two way radio’s runs smoothly. We are based in East Hanningfield.


Key Responsibilities

  • Helping to ensure all hires are prepared ready for a timely delivery.
  • Helping to ensure the driver is out before 9.00 – 9.30 each day and planning the drivers day appropriately.
  • Ensuring all hires are correctly picked and boxed.
  • Ensuring all hire paperwork is in the appropriate box.
  • Ensuring that all returning hires are booked for collection and are off hired correctly and as soon as possible.
  • Ensuring that all invoicing is correct, eg, dates, amounts, delivery charges.
  • Ensuring you clean all hire equipment to a high standard and put away in the correct place.
  • Must have eye for detail and log all damaged, lost and faulty equipment in the correct manner with the correct paperwork.
  • Ensuring all change over’s are completed in the designated time allocated.
  • Ensuring the work place is kept clean, tidy at all times.
  • Ensuring that you organise your day and prioritise your work load.
  • Experience of using word and excel.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a hire/leasing environment
  • Proficiency in using computerized systems for data entry
  • Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills.

Must be able to drive and have use of a car as we are not near public transport.
