IDARO Technical Manager

The IDARO Technical Manager will be involved in a variety of tasks that requires management of the IDARO Service Team and interaction with the group’s sales team and customers. The technical manager will need a solid understanding of Microsoft systems, including Azure, Linux, Wireless networking, and leading IT technologies. This role also requires the ability to troubleshoot issues and to train users when required.
The IDARO Technical Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our Customers IDARO system ensuring they get maximum benefits from them.
Tasks may include:
- Act as escalation for the IDARO Technical Support team or Sales team for incidents that cannot be resolved.
- Interpreting client’s requirements, identifying and addressing design parameters and engineering problems and ensuring solutions are implemented.
- Working with project managers to manage the lifecycle of the project
- Taking responsibility for individual projects as necessary
- Developing and maintaining procedures for any work to be carried out
- Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve an “on-time” result including follow-up with external suppliers to ensure timely response to action items.
- Ensure SLA’s are achieved and client expectations are met (or exceeded).
- Ensure quality and profitable services are performed to agreed SLA’s
- To ensure that systems, processes and methodologies as specified are followed to ensure effective monitoring, control and support of service delivery.
- To assist in provision of reports for the business as necessary
- To attend Client Service Review Meetings as required
- To help develop and facilitate workshops and training courses
- To attend training sessions
- To enhance skills as required by passing exams as required by the business
- Knowledge of installing, configuring and administrating Microsoft desktop and Server operating systems
- A high level of oral and written communication skills in order to communicate effectively with senior managers, colleagues and other stakeholders
- Ability to research subjects, with a commitment to provide continuous improvement
- To work under pressure and think clearly in challenging situations in a logical manner
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record in delivering in technological environments. Highly analytical in problem solving with the ability to apply original and innovative thinking
Display and apply knowledge of technologies including: Microsoft, Infrastructure Networks, Azure server virtualisation, Linux and an awareness and understanding of additional software programmes and technologies relevant to technical infrastructure environments.
To be flexible in approach and be comfortable with a fluid organisational structure that requires both team work and self sufficiency as necessary, with the ability to work under minimal supervision
