Moor Place

The Solution

Located next door to Moorgate Station, Moor Place is an 11-storey development comprising more than 200,000 sq ft of office space in a prime location with convenient underground, national rail and, from 2019, Crossrail connections on its doorstep.

Brentwood was contracted by the building’s operators to supply an all-purpose two way radio solution to facilities management, security and cleaning personnel. The brief was to support health and safety compliance and to help boost productivity and efficiency by providing a reliable mode of communication for staff throughout the premises.

We recommended a fleet of Motorola DP4400 handsets, a versatile and robust non-display digital model which benefits from a wide range of advanced features. As well as safety functions such as an emergency button and Lone Worker remote monitoring, the DP4400 supports private one-to-one calling and can be used to issue and manage work order tickets. It offers high fidelity audio performance and long battery life.

To ensure coverage throughout the building, we installed Motorola SLR5500 repeaters together with a distributed antenna system, which work in unison to increase network range and therefore ensure workers stay in touch wherever they happen to be. All equipment was supplied on a Technically Assigned License, providing exclusive access to radio bandwidth within the boundaries of the premises and therefore reducing the risk of interference from other networks.
