The Solution

Facing the Isle of Dogs over the famous Thames ‘U-bend’, The River Gardens is a prestigious new residential development in Royal Greenwich. Comprised of a series of riverside apartment buildings, the complex offers one, two and three-bedroom homes with stunning views over the river to Canary Wharf, with the O2 Arena – formerly the Millennium Dome – a notable nearby landmark.

As well as high quality accommodation, the development also features exclusive amenities including a private pool, gym and an on-site concierge service. Operators set out to provide outstanding added-value service to residents, which creates a demand for efficient and reliable mobile communications to keep staff in touch on site.

Brentwood was brought in to provide a suitable solution. The brief was to supply a cost-effective system that would guarantee quality voice communication at an affordable price. We therefore recommended a fleet of Motorola license-free two way radios. Many two way radios operate on assigned bandwidth which you have to pay to access by purchasing a license. But some make use of the free-to-use public 446 MHz spectrum, and therefore don’t need a license to be used. This helps to keep costs down and provides a perfectly reliable option for end users that want to focus on the basics of mobile voice communication via radio.
