A universal Type-C USB port makes programming, upgrading and charging more convenient than ever before. Every handset can simply be plugged into a computer using a standard  data cable for software updates or to add functions. Similarly, the 1500 MHz lithium ion battery can be charged using a standard phone charger. Fully charged, the battery will last for 15 hours.

Calling options include ‘all call’ broadcasts across the whole network, group calls and private one-to-one calls.

Every handset is also Bluetooth 5.2 ready for connecting BT audio accessories. This allows users to operate the radios hands-free using wireless headsets, increasing mobility and convenience compared with wired microphone and speaker sets. Bluetooth also means each handset can be paired with a smartphone using the Hytool Radio Manager App for radio programming.

The HP505 is a tough, durable, and professional portable two-way radio model. It has an IP67 rating for water-proof and dust-proof protection, meaning it can withstand immersion in water and exposure to dust without compromising performance. Designed for use in harsh environments, it resists heat, shock, vibration, and drops of up to 1.5 metres. The buttons and keys are made from hard-wearing plastic rubber, offering excellent abrasion and heat resistance.

Health and safety is a high priority in every work environment and the HP505 comes with a number of features to help keep everyone safe as they work. Location tracking can be crucial for personal safety, especially in emergency situations. HP5 Series radios feature multi-constellation, or GNSS, satellite tracking. With this option enabled, every handset automatically provides location updates to a dispatcher via GPS, BDS and GLONASS positioning systems. This greatly speeds up the allocation of resources if an emergency occurs.

Emergency Alerts, Lone Worker Monitoring, and Secure Communications

In addition, every handset comes with a one-touch emergency alarm and emergency call functions, and also supports Lone Worker monitoring. For added security, dispatchers can disable and enable radios remotely to protect against unauthorised use and there is basic encryption to keep communications private.
