Small but powerful, simple yet sophisticated, the Hytera HP685 DMR digital two way radio delivers advanced communications performance in a compact and discreet form. With advanced audio and long battery life, the HP685 uses cutting-edge technology to support the professional service of your staff in all situations.
Like all Hytera HP6 series radios, the HP685 is designed for ease of use. Its compact and light build makes for easy carrying and wearing, both for customer-facing staff and those who operate in extreme environments.
But despite its small size, the HP685 sacrifices nothing in toughness and durability. Use outdoors in all weather is no concern – the HP685 is IP67 rated and resilient to water and dust ingress. It also meets the MIL-STD-810 G standard for vibration, impact and thermal shock. It’s a radio that will stand up to a lot of wear and tear, and a tough environment will no longer slow your staff down.
The HP685 is the sister handset to the HP605, the main difference being an OLED colour screen and full keypad. The benefits of having a screen and keypad on a two way radio include making it simpler to configure call groups across different channels and zones, monitor users and programme functions. The HP685 is therefore a great two way radio option for supervisors and coordinators. You can even send text messages with it.
Fast-paced, busy environments are also usually noisy environments. One of the stand-out features of the HP685 is its AI-powered noise cancellation technology to decrease the unwanted background noise and reduce howling – the feedback you get when two or more radios are in close proximity. This cutting edge digital correction technology can filter out up to 30db of unwanted noise from the signal. Alongside powerful loudspeakers, that ensures the model delivers impeccably clear audio in all conditions.
The HP685 supports a massive 1024 call channels, which can be segmented into 64 different call zones. That makes it suitable for very large teams indeed. Users can take their choice of private one-to-one calls, group calls with pre-configured teams, or ‘all’ call full network broadcasts. In the event of an emergency, a priority interrupt feature overrides all communications, and there are also Emergency Alert, Man Down and Lone Worker monitoring features.
As well as having capacity for large teams, the HP685 also operates across a large signal range, courtesy of improved receiver sensitivity. This provides better connectivity both in marginal areas of coverage and indoors, with a longer signal range than many comparable two way radios.
And it will keep working hard for as long as you do, with a high capacity lithium polymer battery coupled with proprietary energy efficiency technology delivering long battery life over 20 hours. Users no longer need to charge the radio or change the battery to get through long shifts, enabling them to focus on their daily tasks and improve efficiency.
Optional Bluetooth (BT5.0) and multi-constellation satellite tracking deliver additional safety and operational benefits. Integrated BT5.0 technology provides flexible wireless connection with accessories such as wireless headphone and microphone sets. As well as further boosting audibility, this is ideal for workers on the move across large sites who want to keep their hands free.
With optional GPS and GLONASS satellite tracking, you can pinpoint the location of every user at all times. That helps to speed up response times in the event of an emergency. Or, in the likes of security and events stewarding, speed up coordination when back up is needed.
The HP685 offers exceptional durability in harsh environments. The HP685 is IP67 rated for dust and water protection and also corresponds to US Military Standards MIL-STD-810 C / D / E / F / G for durability against temperature shock, vibration, humidity and more.
The Hytera PD685 is a licensed two way radio, which means it requires an OFCOM licence to operate. It can work in UHF or VHF frequency bands in the 400-470 MHz and 136-174 MHz ranges, which have access restricted under licence for commercial use. We will apply for the licence as part of the hire or purchase process. Please contact us to find out more.
All Hytera’s two way radios come with a standard two year manufacturer’s warranty.
