Rugged yet stylish, feature-rich yet simple to use, the HP785 is every inch the modern digital two-way radio. The apex model of Hytera’s newly revamped HP two way radio range, the HP785 adds a full colour screen and keypad interface to super-charged reliability, signal range, channel capacity and audio quality – making it a radio that represents the future on style and functions that refreshes the standards in digital radios.
With its 2.4 inch LCD display, the HP785 puts the user in total control. When scanning contacts and call groups, up to six lines of information are displayed at any one time, making it easier and quicker to find what you are looking fo r. A Quick Access Menu makes navigation to the main functions supremely simple. There is also the option of adding an Interface Switcher function to one of the three programmable buttons, which scrolls with a touch through four frequently accessed screens.
Perfect for setting up and managing call groups and configuring functionality across the fleet, the HP785 is an ideal DMR radio for supervisors. It also supports text messaging as an additional communication option.
When used for voice calls, the HP785 provides more efficient and more reliable communication with loud and clear audio guaranteed in all environments. It benefits from an optimized forward facing speaker and AI-based noise cancellation that decreases the unwanted background noise and howling typical in busy public spaces and industrial workplaces. There is the choice of private, group and all call options, with plenty of capacity to set up call groups or launch one-to-one calls across the 1024 available channels.
Despite featuring a 2.4-inch colour display, the HP785’s compact design makes the radio only 29.5mm thick, one of the most slimline full screen two way radios you will find on the market. This provides the dual benefit of giving the HP785 remarkable portability and convenient to carry on long shifts, and also means it is easy to use in just one hand.
Speaking of long shifts, the HP785 is designed to keep going and going to minimise the number of times it needs recharging. The latest in proven lithium polymer technology is used alongside an optimized power saving design to deliver a remarkable 24-hour long battery life on a single charge – even with a compact lithium polymer battery which fits discreetly into the slimline handset.
Matching its energy efficiency, the HP705 is also built to deliver better signal coverage and more reliable connectivity than most portable radios. Increased receiver sensitivity extends the coverage range and improves audio quality even in weak signal areas.
It’s easy to assume that ‘compact’ and ‘slimline’ design comes at the expense of toughness and durability – we tend to think of ‘rugged’ devices as being large and chunky, with lots of protective armour. Not so with the HP785. Meeting the IP68 and MIL-STD-810 G standards, the handset is designed to deliver exceptional ruggedness for ease of use across multiple environments and industries. It is waterproof enough to withstand extended submersion, so has no issues handling inclement weather outdoors. It is also tough enough to survive being dropped onto concrete from a height of two metres.
On top of it’s solid core of features, the HP785 can also be purchase in GPS and Bluetooth mode. Enabling Bluetooth means you can connect the HP785 to wireless headphone and microphone sets. This has two benefits. One is even better audio clarity in noisy environments – headphones are always better for hearing than external speakers.
The other is hands-free operation. With a Bluetooth headset in, you free your hands as you talk and listen. Great for communicating on the move.
The GPS feature is ideal for big teams and is multi-constellation satellite tracking. Location tracking is very useful for coordinating teams operating over large areas, as is often the case in sectors like events management, security, logistics etc.
The HP705 offers exceptional durability in harsh environments. It is IP68 rated for waterproofing and dust resistance, meaning it is submersible to a depth of 2 meters for 4 hours. It also meets the MIL-STD-810 G standard for shock and impact, and can withstand 2-meter drops onto concrete.
All Hytera H Series radios come with two years manufacturer’s warranty.
