Part of the latest R5 Series from Motorola Solutions, the R5 LKP DMR is designed to connect teams, helping boost efficiency and safety with loud, clear audio that cuts through background noise, plus intuitive status indications and controls so workers can focus on their tasks.
The Limited Keypad model features a three-line display and basic seven-key control pad. Simple controls and tactile buttons make the R5 easy to use with minimal training. The display has icons that show radio status and can be configured to suit user preference.
All of this is packaged in a tough, compact device that’s built to last. It is rated IP67 for dustproof and waterproof protection and meets MIL-STD-810 requirements for resilience against harsh environmental conditions like temperature changes and humidity, plus drops, vibration and other shocks. There’s also an intrinsically safe (IS) version with additional anti-ignition safety features for use in environments where flammable substances present a fire or explosion hazard.
The tough, reliable build is matched by reliable performance. Loud, clear, AI-enhanced audio cuts through background noise so messages get through the first time. Powerful built-in speakers allow for an optional extra-loud audio profile for the most extreme environments, while an AI noise suppression algorithm strips out anything in the signal that isn’t the user’s voice.
Motorola’s patented IMPRES™ technology, meanwhile, automatically levels out audio volumes depending on things like how loudly the user talks and how close they are to the microphone. IMPRES™ also optimizes power consumption, with the small, lightweight batteries in this compact two way radio still capable of up to 32 hours of runtime from a single charge.
A built-in GNSS receiver means R5 devices can be located and tracked in real-time, helping to maintain a clear link between workers and aiding coordination and safety.
For additional peace of mind, MOTOTRBO’s standard two-year warranty and service coverage provides access to software updates and hardware repair to keep radios operating to the latest levels.
