Motorola TLK25

The latest addition to Motorola’s push-to-talk (PTT) over broadband range, the TLK25 WAVE is another step forward in workplace comms innovation. Supremely compact and lightweight, this futuristic WiFi radio is designed as a wearable device that conveniently clips to a uniform for easy use on the move.

At just three inches in height by two inches in width (82mm x 48mm), the tiny size of the TLK25 WAVE belies its impressive performance credentials and reliability. A rugged build and IP67 rating means this tough little radio can be comfortably used outdoors in poor weather without any risk of water ingress causing malfunction. Its embedded battery will last 12 hours on a single charge.

One of the most innovative things about the TLK25 WAVE is its interface. Due to its radically reduced size, this model doesn’t feature an in-built speaker and microphone. It connects instead to an earpiece and microphone via Bluetooth (supplied with the device). This has the added advantage of meaning the TLK25 WAVE can be used discreetly in all environments, without incoming calls causing a disturbance.

The entire front panel of the TLK25 WAVE is taken up by a prominent push-to-talk button, which is easy to locate for convenient use on the move. LED lights on the top of the casing signal device and operational status. They are joined by a dedicated emergency button which sends an alert to all connected devices when pressed. For further personnel protection, the TLK25 WAVE also comes with Lone Worker monitoring and Man Down fall detection as standard, making it a great choice for tough industrial environments.

In addition to on-device controls, the TLK25 WAVE also features Intuitive Voice Assistant. This cutting-edge smart voice interface provides a genuine ‘hands-free’ experience, with all key functions operable by spoken command alone.

As a WiFi device, the TLK25 WAVE is interoperable with any other connected device via the Motorola WAVE PTX app. This includes push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) mobile radios, smartphones, tablets and more. Moreover, it can also communicate with MOTOTRBO digital radios, providing seamless connectivity between radio and IP-based systems.
