The TE580 Plus is part of the latest generation of smart LTE handheld devices that make use of push-to-talk over cellular (PoC) technology. The layout of the controls helps in this regard, with a large PTT button on the side and three simple buttons – menu, home and back – on the front. These support navigation of the 3.1″ 800*480dpi WVGA touchscreen, which puts users in full control of all apps and features.

Despite its compact size, the TE580P is built for long-term durable performance. It comes with  IP67 certification for water and dust resistance. It is also tested to military standards for shock and impact endurance, and can survive drops from heights up to 1.5 metres onto concrete unscathed. This includes the touchscreen, which is made out of capacitative Gorilla Glass.

The TE580P will also work as hard as you do. The removable 3600mAh high capacity lithium battery offers exceptional operational time on a single charge. And even when it is running low, it recharges rapidly via a Type C USB cable – no need for special chargers or adapters.

The TE580P also delivers equally reliable audio performance. Two watt loudspeakers and volume controls give you the freedom to adjust the output to compensate for background noise. Dual microphone noise cancellation also strips unwanted background noise from the signal for cleaner-quality audio.

Finally, the TE580P supports better health and safety protocols in the workplace. All handsets feature a one-touch emergency button which triggers an alert across all users on the network. Every handset also supports GPS and GLONASS satellite tracking, which makes it quick and easy to identify the location of any colleague who has pressed the alert.
