Wensleydale Creamery Purchases Lugra Evoke Radios

Wensleydale Creamery is the home of traditional Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese. This North Yorkshire farm has been producing cheese since the 12th century, moving to mass production in 1897.

Over the last 100 years, Wensleydale Creamery has evolved into a fully-fledged tourist attraction in Yorkshire. It has its own visitor’s centre, an online store, and even a cheese-making museum.

The team at Wensleydale Creamery contacted Brentwood for a fleet of two way radios that would keep its staff in touch across the site. With a mixture of indoor and outdoor areas, they needed an affordable yet reliable solution.

Wensleydale Creamery is located in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, where there’s very little chance that other users would be using the license free radios on the open 446 Mhz frequency. This meant the Lugra Evoke 446 was the ideal choice.

Staff at the dairy can keep in contact throughout the working day, with the Evoke’s lithium ion battery providing up to 12 hours’ operation. From the creamery area to the museum and café, staff can communicate easily and efficiently.

The handset fits into the palm of the hand, and users don’t need to be trained extensively before they can get started. The radio has 16 channels and is resistant to dust and water spray, giving it an IP54 rating.

Our Lugra Evoke 446 radio is also light and easy to handle, so it’s comfortable when held in the hand, or worn on a belt. The keys can be locked to prevent accidental operation while the radio is being carried, and it has a textured case for improved grip and resistance to scratches.
License free convenience

The Lugra Evoke 446 is designed for small businesses and doesn’t require an Ofcom licence. License free radios can be used straight out of the box, and have all the professional features you’d expect from a business-grade unit.

You don’t need to have the radios programmed, and the range is adequate for a small farm or factory setting. In ideal conditions, you can talk over a 2km area.
Improve your productivity

License free radios are the ideal solution for small businesses with a limited budget. The Lugra Evoke 446 reduces the complexity of ownership, and helps you get up and running after the first charge.
