More information

Hytera’s brand new BP5 two-way radio range has been designed to give business users the professional performance they need at prices that won’t put a dent in their budgets.

‘Affordable’ solutions all too often translate into the most basic functionality. In times gone by, ‘budget’ or ‘entry-level’ two way radio more or less exclusively meant analogue, no-screen handsets with stripped-down features and limited features.

The BP565 breaks that mould. A dual function digital and analogue radio that benefits from enhanced digital performance, it also features a full colour screen and advanced functions of the kind usually associated with more premium devices.

Having a screen on a two-way radio handset has a number of benefits. It makes it easier for users to create and manage call groups, which is why it is two way radios with screens are popular with supervisors and team leaders. The on-face buttons make it easy to scroll through call groups at speed, rather than relying on the channel select knob. And call group and zone information is displayed on the screen for easy identification, while you can use text messaging as an alternative to voice-only communication.

As a digital DMR two way radio, the BP565 is compatible with your existing digital systems and comes with powerful digital features like priority interrupt and basic encryption. But it also supports both digital and analogue modes, making it a great stepping stone for upgrading your legacy radios.

Like its no-screen stable mate the Hytera BP515, the BP565 benefits from a built-in intelligent noise reduction algorithm and howling suppression ability. Coupled with 3W speakers in every handset and impressive output power, audio cuts through loud and clear in any environment, minus unwanted background noise and interference.

Another impressive feature is the BP565’s signal range. Again, assumptions about more ‘affordable’ two-way radios only functioning well over shorter distances can be thrown out the window. A high sensitivity receiving module and high-efficiency monopole antenna enhance signal penetration and achieve better call quality even in weak signal areas, ensuring the the BP565 series has extended range in class and a better communication distance than models fitted with traditional antennas. The monopole antenna has a unique thick screw thread design that increases radiation efficiency and ensures it doesn’t break and bend, extending antenna life time.

Reliability and trust that a device will work when and where you want it are high priorities for any business. Signal coverage is part and parcel of that. The BP565 also offers an impressive 16 hours of operational time on a single charge, and rapid, safe and reliable charging via a modern Type-C USB charge point. Using international well-known brand batteries with a long service life, each handset is fully charged from 0 to 100% in just 1.8 hours, or will work for 10 hours after charging for 1 hour.

To top all of this off, the BP565 is two-way radio handset built to last. Despite a compact, lightweight design that makes it easy to carry around and operate on the move, the BP565 meets the MIL-STD-810G ‘field ready’ military equipment standard for thermal and vibration shock, and is cased in a durable wear- and scratch-resistant chassis.

With added Bluetooth capabilities, the BP565 can also offer ultimate flexibility and convenience for use on the move. Bluetooth connectivity gives you the option of going completely ‘hands-free’ by using wireless earpieces and microphones. You can also connect via Bluetooth to ‘beacon’ systems for indoor location tracking.
