Hytera PD605 DMR Digital Two-Way Radio Product Description

The Hytera PD605 offers great performance and superb battery life in a slim, ergonomic handset. Part of the Hytera PD6 series of professional two-way radios, the PD605 offers superior voice clarity thanks to advanced digital technology.

Encased in a high-quality frame and with a weight of only 290g, the PD605 is as rugged and durable as it is easy to carry and use. Despite being an extremely compact radio at just 27mm thick, it is IP67 rated, meaning it is sealed against dust, and can be completely immersed in water up to 1 metre deep.

The Hytera PD605 offers versatile calling options, including individual, group and broadcast calls. It also offers a priority interrupt emergency function, which overrides active calls to raise an alarm with top priority to a base station or other radio users. A Lone Worker feature also comes as standard, allowing users to monitor colleagues at a distance by requiring them to use their radio within a fixed time frame.

The PD605 radio operates in both digital and analogue mode, and on both VHF and UHF frequencies, with an extended UHF range. Compatibility with analogue mobile radio systems in addition to conventional DMR makes the PD605 an ideal option for analogue to digital migration, as it communicates seamlessly with both types of radio.

This flexibility extends to multiple digital modes. As well as being developed in compliance with the ETSI DMR standard, these radios support operation in DMR trunked mode. XPT digital trunking, a Hytera patented technology, extends the number of channels above the standard 256 available, providing better efficiency for larger teams.

With a standard 1500mAH li-ion battery, the PD605 can achieve an operating time in digital mode of at least 16 hours. An optionally available 2000-mAH battery pushes this up to 20 hours.

The Hytera PD605 digital radio requires an Ofcom licence to operate.
