The Hytera PD665 is a slimline professional two-way radio that gives mobile teams the power to communicate over large sites in all weather conditions. With an ergonomic design only 27mm deep, this DMR digital radio is convenient to carry and offers effortless communication at the touch of a button, with a full colour display for easy access to call features. It offers clean, incisive sound as well as cost-effective dual digital and analogue capability.
Encased in a high-quality metal frame, the Hytera PD665 is dust and water-resistant, helping it to withstand the harshest environments, including complex industrial processes. It comes with an IP67 rating, meaning it can withstand being fully submerged in water. Use outdoors in wet and adverse weather conditions poses no risk. And digitally enhanced voice ensures high quality audio even in hostile weather and with high levels of background noise.
To help keep teams safe, the PD665 features an emergency mode that supports one-touch alerts. Lone Worker monitoring triggers a prompt if a handset isn’t used in a fixed period of time, and then issues an alert if the prompt isn’t responded to.
With the 1500 mAh standard lithium-ion battery, PD6 series handsets can achieve an operating time in digital mode of at least 16 hours. With the optionally available 2000-mAh battery, this increases to 20 hours.
One of the highlights of the PD665 is its flexible functionality. Like the rest of the PD6 series, this two way radio was developed in compliance with the ETSI Digital Mobile Radio standard and supports conventional DMR operation. But the fact that it can also be used in analogue mode makes this handset the ideal companion for digital migration. It operates in both VHF and UHF frequencies, with an extended UHF range.
The PD665 is built to support large teams. With 1024 call channels available and advanced frequency resources, it can handle high communication traffic with ease – vital during emergencies. The PD665 radio is compatible with digital trunking protocols that multiply channel capacity so more calls can take place simultaneously. Using Hytera’s own pseudo-trunking and XPT (extended pseudo-trunking) technologies, the PD665 can be operated in TDMA direct mode and pseudo-trunk mode.
The PD565 requires an Ofcom licence to operate.
