The Icom IC-F1000 range offers professional communication with a superb range of features. This model, the IC-F1000, is a VHF radio without an LCD display. It is IP67 waterproof and dustproof rated, including a li-ion battery pack that can survive a dip into water up to 1 metre deep. The rugged build is backed up by high quality audio, user-friendly operation and personnel safety features.

All of the handsets in this Icom range are superbly slim, measuring just 24.5mm. Despite their small form factor, they boast a slew of sophisticated features that will keep your workforce safe and productive. It offers 2-tone, 5-tone, CTCSS and DTCS signalling to prevent channel interference, and a voice scrambler feature that keeps your communications private across 16 channels. A channel announcement function makes the channel number audible when you twist the select knob and 8 autodial memories make group communication more efficient.

Advanced Communication Features and Privacy

The transceiver boasts large speaker in comparison to the soze of the handset, while the in-built BTL amplifier doubles the audio output power for superb sound reproduction. This model also has a silent mode for discreet use and can be used with a range of headsets and microphones.

Built-In Safety Features for Man Down and Lone Worker Protection

A built-in motion sensor inside the unit will detect its position and serves as an emergency defence for users. The sensor sounds an alarm when it detects different types of motion and non-motion, for example if the unit is horizontal (i.e. Man Down fall detection), and if the user is running. It can also be programmed for Lone Worker monitoring.

The radio also features a quiet standby mode, surveillance mode and an escalating alarm.
