The Icom IC-F1000 range offers professional communication with a superb range of features. This model, the IC-F1000S, is a VHF digital radio with a partial keypad and display. It is rated  IP67 waterproof and dust-tight, capable of surviving a dip into water up to 1 metre deep. And its rugged build is backed up with a slew of sophisticated features that will keep your workforce safe and productive.

Slim and Waterproof Design for Professional Use

All of the radios in this Icom range are superbly slim, measuring just 24.5mm for convenient carrying. The IC-F1000S offers 2-tone, 5-tone, CTCSS and DTCS signalling to prevent channel interference, and a voice scrambler feature that keeps your radio communications private across 128 channels. A channel announcement audio feature announces the channel number when you turn the select knob, making it easier to bounce between groups.

Secure and Reliable Communication Features

Each unit has a built-in motion sensor that will sound the alarm if the radio is laid horizontally. As well as this ‘Man Down’ alert, the sensor can also raise the alarm if the handset shakes, so you will know if the user is running – perhaps in response to an emergency. And the IC-F1000S also supports programmable Lone Worker monitoring.

Along with the IC-F2000 series, the IC-F1000S is one of 6 versions in a range that includes UHF as well as VHF radios, plus non-display models.
