Icom IC-F1000 VHF Radio Product Description

Icom’s IC-F1000T is a VHF analogue two way radio handset. It’s part of the IC-1000 compact portable radio series with convenient features that include an LCD display and 10-key keypad, PTT button and speaker microphone, loud, secure audio and a rugged build. These features make the IC-F1000T ideal for a wide range of businesses.

Waterproof VHF Radio with Long Battery Life

The IC-F1000T is equipped with a waterproof Li-ion battery capable of 14 hours of operating time in power-saving mode. The casing of the digital radio is also completely sealed to prevent dust and moisture from rendering it inoperable, with an IP67 waterproof rating confirming its suitability for use outdoors even in harsh weather. It can even cope with being submersed in shallow water for up to half an hour.

Lightweight and Slim Radio for Easy Portability

Despite its rugged build quality, the designers at Icom have come up with a design that is beautifully slim. Measuring less than 25mm in thickness and weighing 240g, it is comfortable to carry in a pocket or on a belt. The radio can be used with a waterproof speaker mic (sold separately), a headset mic and/or an internal speaker.

Encrypted Audio and 128 Channel Capacity

The IC-F1000T comes with built-in encryption that ensures unauthorised listeners cannot intercept your conversation, a high-power transceiver for loud, clear audio,  and 128 channels with a channel announcement function for versatile communication across large teams.

Enhanced Safety Features for Hazardous Environments

For on-site personnel safety, the IC-F1000T features a built-in motion sensor that can detect the position and state of motion (or non-motion) of the handset. This is programmable so it sends an alarm when it detects certain types of motion, such as the unit shaking during a chase. This can also be used as a Man Down feature, triggering an alarm when a fall is detected or there is no motion. Lone worker remote monitoring can also be programmed.

The IC-F1000T has a UHF sister model, the IC-F2000T. Including IC-F2000 series radios, it is one of 6 versions that include partial keypad and non-display models. All radios in the series have built-in 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS signalling capabilities for group communication and selective calling.
