The Kenwood NX-3320E2 digital two way radio offers multi-mode functionality and high spec performance in a compact and easy to use handset.
Part of Kenwood’s Nexedge range, the NX-3320E2 is a multi-protocol digital radio that can also operate using FM analogue protocols. It also supports Bluetooth and GPS data connections. A feature-rich next generation model, it seamlessly integrates voice, text and data communications while offering high levels of scalability and options to operate across multiple sites.
The NX-3320E2 features a 4-line LCD display and half keypad with a large D-pad for scrolling through menus. It features an LED indicator to display functions and modes in current use, push-to-talk and programmable side buttons, and volume control and channel selector.
Ideal for use in industry or construction, the NX-3320E2 can be deployed with confidence around heavy machinery and other sources of high volume background noise, as Kenwood’s Active Noise Reduction (ANR) digitally cleans the signal to provide the highest quality audio possible.
The handsets come with safety features including an Emergency Button call override and a built-in motion sensor for triggering Man Down alerts in the event of a fall. For secure communications, they include AES and DES encryption software..
The NX-3320E2 uses the UHF bandwidth which is best suited to built-up environments and deployment indoors. It can operate in both digital and analogue modes on three different voice transmission protocols – the DMR digital standard, FM analogue, and Kenwood’s own digital protocol, NXDN.
The mixed digital and analogue functionality makes the NX-3320E2 an ideal hybrid option during a digital upgrade of your two way radio fleet. Legacy analogue models can still be used seamlessly alongside digital handsets, with the NX-3320E2 capable of connecting to both simultaneously.
The support for both DMR and NXDN digital protocols creates a flexible range of options for expanding channel capacity to create larger networks. DMR allows users to effectively double the normal 260 channel capacity via dual-slot direct mode, using a single frequency to create two talk paths. DMR also supports site roaming for easy use across multiple locations.
The NXDN protocol, meanwhile, provides Type C and Gen2 trunking options which can increase the number of available channels to 1000.
All NX-3000 series radios feature an integrated GPS receiver/antenna which shares location data for every handset. They also feature built-in Bluetooth for hands-free operation. Each handset utilizes built-in DSP (digital signal processing) for identifying applicable Bluetooth profiles. It comes with Headset Profile provided as standard (HSP), with SPP (Serial Port Profile) available as an option.
All Kenwood NX-3000 series portable radios are designed to guarantee reliable performance in tough environments and each handset goes through a series of stringent tests before shipment. They meet the IP55 international water and dust ingress protection standards, which can be upgraded to IP67. This means the devices can withstand being fully submerged in water. All radios also meet the MIL-STD-810 C to G US military standards which test durability against drop, immersion, splash, key punch, extreme temperature, dust, and heavy rain.
All Kenwood two-way radios come with a two year manufacturers warranty.
