MOTOTRBO™ Motorola DP4400e DIGITAL PORTABLE TWO-WAY RADIO
Powerful, rugged, feature-rich and built…
More informationHarlow Business Against Crime (HarBAC) asked Brentwood to install a secure radio system linked to their CCTV. They wanted to protect their members from increasing crimes rates.
Members of HarBAC include shops, business, police and council departments in the town and surrounding areas. They required an encrypted radio system, backed up by CCTV, which could provide 100% coverage, withstand high usage and allow users to call for assistance fast.
Brentwood’s site survey revealed that to achieve perfect coverage across the large town they would need to install digital radios, plus booster equipment.
Brentwood recommended Motorola digital two way handheld radios DP3400 (without display), and DP3600 (with display) and the Motorola DR3000 repeater and antenna. They also recommended the Motorola desktop radio DM3600 (with display) for each CCTV room. The DP3400s were ideal for business use, whereas the sophisticated DP3600s were more suited to the police and other members.
Now shopkeepers can use their radios to call for help at the touch of a button. The CCTV controllers have the ability to monitor all calls, and supply critical data to the police using their strategically placed cameras.
Using their display radios, the police and controllers can see who is calling, and make private calls to individuals as well as groups. All radio transmissions are encrypted, which means no eavesdropping can occur in Harlow’s built-up area.
