Whatever sector you operate in, we can provide the ideal radio solution for you.
The London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine is a world-leading centre for research and postgraduate education in public and global health. As they wanted to communicate across three separate sites in London; they approached Brentwood Communications to install an advanced two way radio system.
At this well-known establishment, it’s crucial the staff would be able to use their high-performance radios to collaborate in all environments, without a breakdown in coverage. Operating at three large sites means the radio system would need the capacity to handle many radio users; as well as the capability to expand at low-cost in the future. All departments also made it clear, they required the ability to generate alarms in emergencies.

During our free site trials, our skilled engineers chose handheld Motorola DP4400 digital radios; plus two repeaters (DR3000) interlinked by the internet. The IP-connected repeaters are able to boost transmissions to achieve perfect coverage throughout the Keppel Street, Tavistock Place and Bedford Square sites .
These robust and reliable radios allow staff to talk privately to selected individuals and work groups. Radio users avoid missing calls in noisy areas, as the intelligent audio self-adjusts the radio volume. The suppression filters also dampen background clamour when they make calls. During extended shifts, the batteries can maintain peak power (up to 40% longer).
When in danger, users can press their Emergency button to alert colleagues. The ‘Man Down’ and ‘Lone Worker’ safety features are also available to monitor vulnerable staff. For growing organisations, the ‘Linked Capacity Plus’ option allows low-cost expansion of their multi-site radio communications.
This prestigious school now benefits from full radio coverage across its three London sites. By using the latest two way digital radios, academics can carry out their research more efficiently and effectively. The increased functionality also improves the health and safety of students and employees at every location.
