With a high resolution digital display, compact build and impressive diurability, the IC-F4400DT is a premium option that works as hard as it looks great.

Compact Engineering & Lightweight Build

This smart-looking digital two-way radio packs a lot of features into a small, slim unit thanks to Icom’s new engineering techniques. These include the use of a flat sheet keypad and a custom SoC (system-on-a-chip) manufacture. Efficient power consumption means that the unit also takes advantage of a thinner battery pack. The unit weighs in at just 170 grams.

Keypad & Display Functionality

Despite its small size, the IC-F4400DT features a full keypad, which makes for easy manipulation of menus and other inputs. Text, icons and menu items are clearly displayed on the IC-F4400DT’s high-resolution colour LCD display. The trans-reflective screen allows for equally great visibility in both indoor settings as well as in natural lighting conditions. The device also features a night mode setting for lower lighting conditions. Text messages of up to 100 characters can be sent and received due to the radio’s ability to act as a transparent data modem.

UHF Performance & Audio Clarity

As a UHF model, the IC-F4400DT is ideal for use in built-up areas and inside buildings. It can communicate through floors, walls and other obstructions with minimal signal disruption. Active noise cancellation further helps to keep audio clear even in loud environments. MIL-STD specifications and an IP68 dust-tight and waterproof rating ensure this unit is rugged enough to withstand regular use in less-than-ideal conditions.

Bluetooth, USB & Connectivity

Bluetooth headsets allow for hands-free communication when paired with the radio’s built-in Bluetooth module. Data transfer between the radio and a PC terminal are also possible via Bluetooth. A USB port on the radio can also be used to establish a wired connection to a PC for programming or to access the installed microSD card.

Security, Encryption & Voice Recording

The IC-F4400DT keeps your communications secure by providing basic 4-key DES encryption as a standard feature. An OTAR function and 256-bit AES encryption is possible with an optional UT-134 encryption unit for users that require the next level of security. This model supports digital voice recording for incoming and outgoing communications, plus playback. With a 32 GB microSD card, a maximum of 500 hours can be recorded.
